Septmember in the Sugar Shack

September in the Sugar Shack:

Jumping into an Autumn of High Spirited Night Life

As we shimmy out of the steamy months of Summer, we are excited to be jumping into to an autumn full of high spirited night life. Thank you to all of you who made it out to our summer series in Montauk at Sole East (keep your eyes set on Sole Miami where we may be shimmying down to this winter!), our debut in London (where we will be returning in March of 2011!) and of course our weekly dance party, Shaken and Stirred at the Delancey (still going strong every Wednesday night!). For those of you who haven’t seen it yet; be sure to take a minute to read all about Miss RunAround Sue in the New York Observer: http://www.observer.com/2010/daily-transom/queen-neo-burlesque

Also, while you’re surfing the web – take a look at our newly updated website (Special thanks to Lady J from Anti-Mag for keeping all our ducks in a row): www.sugarshackburlesque.com

And now! On with the Shows! In addition to our weekly/monthly adventures we are excited to announce the start of a brand new party: SUNDAYS-A-GO-GO. Once a month Sugar Shack Burlesque and DJ Bridget will transform the upstairs Lounge at Piano’s in a decadent and lush den of Bollywood, Early Dee-Light, and 60s dance tunes with burlesque performances on the hour – and September 19th marks the very first night – but, let’s not get ahead of starts… Let’s start at the very beginning (a very good place to start)..
