Attention Ladies of Richmond!

Six Weeks in the Sugar Shack: Burlesque Workshop Series starting May 18th! Spend your Monday nights learning the art of Burlesque. In these workshops we'll cover such topics as Tassel Twirling, Fan Dancing, Burlesque History, Basic Moves, Costuming, Choreography, and Character Development. The final class will be a dress rehearsal for the class recital which will occur at the Firehouse Theatre.

In addition to Miss Sue, classes will be taught by guest teachers who are all professional Burlesque dancers currently working in the vibrant NYC burlesque scene. Classes are 300$ for the series.

Miss Sue currently produces monthly burlesque shows in NYC, Brooklyn, Massachusetts, and Washington DC. In addition to founding NYC's only burlesque danceparty, Shaken and Stirred, Miss Sue is also the resident Burlesque Producer for the Living Theatre in Manhattan. Last summer she brought burlesque to the Hamptons with a weekly show at the beautiful Sole East in Montauk. She has had the honor of performing at the Slipper Room, Starshine Burlesque, Sweet and Nasty Burlesque, The Jalopy Music School, Ars Nova, Galapagos and many other enchanting venues. In addition, Sugar Shack Burlesque had the honor of being the first burlesque troupe to perform in Bermuda this past March when they performed for the opening night party of the International Film Festival. She looks forward to sharing the positive and cheeky experience of burlesque with the lovely ladies of Richmond.
